I've never been a person who can just welcome people in any time they knock on my door, because I have too much weird junk everywhere that is potentially embarrassing. I don't like being seen as a slob. When I'm by myself in the room, it's just the raw desires. A bag of chips, magazines, coffee. Fluffy pillows piled up around. Just raw animal needs. But once another person comes into it, you put away all the animal things, and you try to present all these real noble, intellectual things.
